The Schillinger Seed research staff has developed some excellent varieties that are well adapted to the areas where we are currently marketing retail Roundup Ready® Seed. The primary strength in our Roundup Ready® genetics is in our Mid Group III varieties through our Group V varieties. These varieties have been developed by Bill Rhodes at the Queenstown, MD research station with over 25 years experience in soybean breeding. Bill and his staff have an excellent eye for plant type and travel extensively to the South and Midwest throughout the growing season to make observations and take notes on disease tolerance, adaptability, and appearance. With our expansion into the southern United States, we have expanded our evaluations of soybeans to look at salt tolerance, root knot resistance, stem canker resistance, and rust resistance.
